Jacques Herbin: the world through ink and wax
Founded in Paris in 1670 - Louis XIV was 32 years old - the HERBIN house specialized very early in the trade in sealing wax, fine stationery, then ink by importing shellac from India. In 1798, the house bet on the future and changed its commercial destiny: while continuing the production of wax and the trading of papers and colors (pigments), it launched its own ink manufacturing under the leadership of Jacques HERBIN, member of the fourth generation.
