The first fountain pen with a retractable nib and clip: as simple and elegant as the exterior of the LAMY Dialogue is, the mechanics inside are just as complex. From the first to the last step, the fountain pen is assembled by hand in the LAMY factory in Heidelberg. Using a unique twist mechanism in the world, the 14-karat gold nib slides elegantly out of the interior of the container while the clip lowers onto the case. When the mechanism is closed, a ball valve automatically moves in front of the opening and protects the spring from drying out.
